Delivery:

Whilst we're finding our feet we are currently only delivering to addresses within the UK.  

We support our local post office and currently offer 3 levels of flat-fee delivery via Royal Mail:

1st Class Signed For   - £4.95

2nd Class Signed For  - £3.95

Parcelforce Next Day  - £9.95

Throughout December all orders over £50 qualify for free 2nd class shipping. Enter JOY at checkout.

***when typing your address in the delivery address field please just type in the whole thing with no commas in line 1, and your address should drop down and auto fill - eg, typing in HOTCAKES 4 Hilton St He..... will drop down with the complete address as an autofill and save you having to type the lot in.   

You will still need to complete the address field if collecting in store.

 

Your purchases are all sent signed for and insured up to product value.

Please note: We pack carefully, however in order to save a few trees we are endeavouring to keep our packaging to a minimum, and are mainly using padded mailing bags and small parcel boxes. We won't pack a pencil case in 20 ft of brown paper. 

 

Payment Options:

We use Stripe, Apple Pay, and Paypal payment gateways and accept all debit and credit cards.  If you're not in a rush we would prefer you to input your card details (payment will go through Stripe) or use Apple Pay.  Paypal is convenient but they charge us significantly higher fees to process payments.  

Stripe, Apple Pay and Paypal are all secure payment gateways.  All data is encrypted and they do not sell your details on to 3rd parties (we checked).  At no point does HOTCAKES have access to your financial data.  Our site has an 's' at the end of the 'http' address.  This denotes a secure server, we operate through one of the largest website hosting platforms and again, all your data is encrypted and they do not sell your information on to 3rd parties. 

All collect-in-store purchases require pre-payment. Just bring along your id and a note of your order number 

 

Returns:

Of course you can!

Unfortunately we are unable to cover the cost of return postage at present.  It will come as we grow, but for now it's a cost any small business would struggle to bear.

We ask you return any goods within 28 days, unused and intact with original product packaging and all original tags still attached so they can find a new home.

For your peace of mind we would recommend sending recorded or signed for delivery and/or obtaining proof of postage.
